2-23-15 Mercy Justice Agency

This week I traveled a lot...like always, and I have a new companion. His name is Elder Luquez, he is 19 from Nicaragua, has a year on the mission and mmm... idk what else you guys want to know about him. He´s a good kid and we are going to have a lot of success together.

Right now I've been really focused on the zone. We have now doubled in size receiving 8 more missionaries, making us a total of 22 missionaries.... and 10 of those are sisters. I am grateful that my sisters in my fam are really chill.

Anyway in our area this month we are really excited. We have a goal of baptizing 15 people and 3 families. Right now we have 12 solid ready for this week and they are all soooo chosen and prepared I feel like every lesson is a miracle.

Other than that I've been thinking a lot about like mercy and justice and agency.

It's just so fundamental to understand if we are obedient we are applying mercy to our lives. If we are not, we apply justice.... This choice must exist or else no one could progress. And God loves us all so much that he has given us these commandments and soo many helps to make it on the way, the most important being a God himself. The Holy Ghost. I realize my invitation to the world is that they may apply mercy in their live, through obedience to the commandments given us. That option of mercy only exists thanks to Jesus Christ. I willl folow Him, And I will be his Servant. that is my objective in this mision and this life.

Well.... yeah lovey you guys have a good week.

Mision Comayaguela Honduras

I love this video that Sean's mission made in October 2014. Sometimes I watch it just to hear Sean's voice, but I love the message. If you ever wonder about where a missionary is called, Elder Eyring at the end is amazing.

2-16-15 Growing Zone

Well.. another week has passed by. And now I´m 20 years old...... shoot I never thought that I would be so old. haha

Anyways this week is changes and we´re pretty certain that my companion has changes, which leaves me with the changes and the zone which is going to double in size because they are telling us they are going to merge 2 zones together.... So that´s cool :)

Really everything is great! We have three great families who want to get baptized and one of them is already MARRIED!!!!!! YESSSSSSSS!!!That same family has told us we can go eat in his resturaunte whenever we want. haha it´s awesome. :)

All in all I´m learning a lot about the purposes of my mission... I feel like we have to re-realize it every once in a while :) haha

Well.. don't have a lot of time but next week I´ll write more. Oh and btw, we saw "Conozca los Mormones"... good movie. With president's permission well.

9 Feb 2015 Time well spent

Can I just ask one question.... why do we have to eat? Honestly, just think about all the time that we use growing food, making food, preparing food, eating food, making the digested food leave, all just to keep eating the food.... You could use the time so much better, like master a language, instrument, build a house, or like, idk learn, serve, teach. But no.... we have to eat... and sometime it´s a drudge.. ( especiallly when they are beans and they take 2 hours to cook.) haha

So with that thought I´ll continue with my letter.

This week was good we had a great zone meeting. We studied D&C 88 and 1 Samuel 17, talking about the power of our attitude and our potential. It was good, I liked it anyways. We all need to keep the pace of the Lords work or else we´ll be left behind.
Paperwork, his favorite
Then we had a really cold baptism and two miracles specifically come to my mind. One, Colonel accepted a baptimsal date. This is a man who said he had already been baptized and knew it was a good baptism and would never get baptized again..... then he read the Book of Mormon (in one week), fell in love with Moroni´s book and accepted to be baptized. Very smart man.

The other is that we found a family sooo prepared by the Lord. They kept saying "I love that you came here" "my house is your house" "I really like this church".... yeah just to sum it up GOLD. All because My companion directed us in a fast. God has blessed us sooo much.
There's a 20 foot drop on the other side. Why would a boy send such a picture to his mom?
A reminder that he's still such a boy sometimes:)
In the end I just can´t believe how fast the time is going by. I still feel like I do not know enough. Basically D&C 1:38 sums it up...

Paz y amor.

02-02-15 The path, or a really awesome trail

Welp this week was a lot of time outside of my area.

We had a conference with Elder Alonso. Basically he´s a Stud, and I was really impressed by him. He taught us to never start something without an end in mind. Like, you don´t start making a statue just thinking I´m just gonna hit this rock.

It´s that same principal in the mission and with people and with life. I really loved him. He talked to us about touching the mantle of Christ and feeling clean. I have a new idol and well..... I want to be like him when I grow up.

As far as cool stories.. I met a Dutch couple here, bought a machete, and we had our zone activity today roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. It was pretty good.

I just want to testify that really This church is soooo true.. like it really is. That does matter, alot. More than we realize. There is a balance between tolerance and acceptance. We must be patient and loving in calling all to repentance.

If we live our lives according to the princliples of the gospel... everything works out.

I like to think of the Gospel as a Path that God has set down or a really awesome trail that just leads to the coolest destination. Heaven. We even have guides helping us all along the way with an internal GPS (the Holy Ghost) that we only get lost when we decide to ignore him.
